A New Water Heater, Sized for Your Lakeside Home
Ten to twelve years is a fair life for a tank water heater in Madison County’s hard water, and the end rarely gives much notice. If yours is in that range and starting to rumble, replacing it on your own schedule beats replacing it the weekend it lets go across the utility room floor.
Sizing and Setting It Right
We size the new tank to your household’s actual hot water draw; a retired couple in a shoreline cottage and a family of five in the blocks behind it should not get the same unit. The install brings everything to current code: a new shutoff, dielectric connections, a thermal expansion tank where the pressure system calls for one, and a drain pan piped somewhere safe when the tank sits above finished space. In the older cottages we often correct venting and gas connections a previous installer ignored.
Replacement day is also the right moment to weigh a tankless unit, and we’ll price both options instead of pitching one. If the old tank just quit and you’re not certain it’s done, a repair visit may buy you another season.
What an install includes, brands, and warranties are on the main water heater installation page, and the rest of our Lakeside services are a click away.
